Who operates this site

This site is operated by Independent Infrared Diagnostics LLC, an independent commercial electrical thermography inspection business led by John Sinkevicius and serving the Chicago area.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to track website performance and understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks on the phone and email links, opening or downloading the sample report, and that an inquiry was submitted. For an inquiry, Analytics receives only which form was used (Home or Contact), never the reason, your name, contact details, or message. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_FDVL9NHH0F) that identify a browser between visits. The site's tag turns off Google Signals and ad personalisation, and page addresses are sent without query details. Analytics runs on every visit without a consent banner; you can block it with your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on, and the site and form work the same either way. Our Google Analytics property is configured to retain user-level and event-level data for 14 months. This setting does not apply to standard aggregated reports.

What the inquiry form collects

The form asks for your name, email address, and the reason for your inquiry, and optionally your company, phone number, property or location, and a message. There is no file upload, account, or marketing sign-up.

How your inquiry is handled

Your inquiry is saved in a private database hosted by Lovable Cloud, the service that runs this site, and an email notification with its details is sent to John at john@independentinfrared.com through Lovable's email service. Your email address is set as the reply address so John can answer you directly. We also record which page you used, when you sent it, and whether the email service accepted the notification. Acceptance by the email service does not confirm that the message reached the inbox.

Technical information and spam protection

The hosting service processes ordinary request information, such as IP address and browser type, to serve pages. To limit automated spam, the form uses a hidden field and an hourly submission limit based on a one-way coded version of your IP address; your full IP address is not stored with your inquiry.

How your information is used

Inquiry details are used to reply to you, discuss scope, access, and scheduling, and keep a record of the conversation about your facility. Your inquiry information is never sold or used for advertising.

Access and safeguards

Inquiry records are accessible to John Sinkevicius and to people with administrative access to the site's hosting project. Lovable, which hosts the site and sends the notification emails, processes inquiry details to provide those services. The records are not publicly readable. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Keeping and deleting information

Inquiry records are deleted automatically once they are 12 months old, and John deletes the notification emails in his mailbox on the same 12-month schedule. Routine backups and delivery logs kept by the hosting and email providers follow those providers' own schedules, which IID does not control. You can ask what has been kept about your inquiry or ask for it to be deleted sooner.
